Can my son take part if he is under 18?
Yes, with a parent or guardian’s consent, and with his own agreement. We never proceed on a parent’s decision alone: he has a private conversation with our team first. When he turns 18, control of the sample passes entirely to him.
How long does a frozen sample stay viable?
Sperm stored in liquid nitrogen is considered stable for decades; successful use after more than twenty years has been reported. Freezing pauses the sample at the quality it had on the day it was collected.
What happens if we stop paying for storage?
Nothing is destroyed without warning. We contact you and your son several times over an extended grace period, and you can transfer the sample to another facility instead. Once he is an adult, he can take over the plan himself.
Who can see our information?
Only your family and the clinical team handling the sample. We do not sell or share data, and his health information is kept separately from billing.
